Community Record

44 years of showing up

Russ's record isn't a list of promises. It's decades of cleanups, committees, kids' programs and community events. It's work he's already done for Wrightwood.

Current President

Wrightwood Property Owners Association

As President of the WPOA, Russ leads volunteers who care for Wrightwood's neighborhoods, landscape and quality of life. Under his leadership the WPOA partners with agencies, local businesses and residents to get practical things done.

Wrightwood Cleanup Day: Co-sponsored with Caltrans, volunteers met at the CSD parking lot and cleared illegally dumped tires, cinder blocks and debris from around town.
Native Plant Talk & Sale: A free WPOA-sponsored seminar at the Wrightwood Community Center on fire-smart, drought-hardy native landscaping, with free seeds and a plant sale.
A voice for property owners: Bringing residents' concerns about infrastructure, safety and property values to the agencies that can act on them.

Cleanup Day in action

Cleaner and greener, one truckload at a time

Illegal dumping hurts our forest, our property values and our pride in town. Russ and WPOA volunteers did something about it.

A pile of illegally dumped tires on a dirt lot — Before: dumped tires collected for removal.

A volunteer in a safety vest loads tires into a pickup truck — Volunteers loading up the haul.

Broken cinder blocks and rubble dumped along a hillside — Cinder blocks and rubble dumped on open land.
